My background isn't one thing. Thirteen years in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) took me from a hands-on technical trade to leadership and, finally, to finance officer and comptroller. I trained as an accountant along the way ending my time in the CAF responsible for tens of millions in budgets.

But the work I'm proudest of is what my wife, Alisa, and I built together: Serebro Health, a registered psychotherapy practice that I run day to day. I've done the real work of operating a clinic: billing and payroll, compliance and systems, hiring and growth, not just advised on it from the outside.
